Pneutmatic Hoist Brake And Control

View page
US Patent:
44349742, Mar 6, 1984
Filed:
Nov 27, 1981
Appl. No.:
6/325239
Inventors:
Kenneth H. LaCount - Green Bay WI
Assignee:
Cooper Industries, Inc. - Houston TX
International Classification:
B66D 108
B66D 320
B66D 512
B66D 526
US Classification:
254360
Abstract:
A pneumatic brake assembly for incorporation into chain hoists and the like includes a planar disk slidably secured to the output shaft of a pneutmatic motor by complementary splines. The disk is biased toward a planar surface and when in contact with such surface, inhibits rotation of the motor output shaft. Compressed air is supplied to both the pneumatic motor and the brake assembly through a network of passageways and check valves. Compressed air supplied to one face of the brake disk, translates the disk, disengaging it from the planar surface and permitting output shaft rotation.

Spring Biased Automatic Multi Roll Paper Dispenser

View page
US Patent:
56284748, May 13, 1997
Filed:
Aug 2, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/510142
Inventors:
Donald G. Krueger - Green Bay WI
Kenneth H. LaCount - Pulaski WI
Assignee:
Alwin Manufacturing Co. - Green Bay WI
International Classification:
B65H 1900
US Classification:
2425594
Abstract:
A two roll paper dispenser has roll-supporting mandrels mounted on slide blocks in a cantilevered position. The mandrels are automatically movable from a position wherein the first mandrel is located at a juncture of a first path and a second path and the second mandrel is located above the first mandrel in the first path and wherein the first mandrel can be moved from the juncture along carried thereon to open the juncture when sufficient paper is consumed from its roll. A spring engages the first mandrel slide block biasing the mandrel for movement away from the juncture, and the second mandrel slide block is biased for movement along the second path toward the juncture. The mandrels each have a proximal end attached to one of the mandrel slide blocks and a distal free end for insertion thereon of a roll of paper.

US Patent:
49383388, Jul 3, 1990
Filed:
Nov 9, 1988
Appl. No.:
7/269081
Inventors:
Donald C. Crawford - Green Bay WI

Multiple Roll Towel Dispenser

US Patent:
60328983, Mar 7, 2000
Filed:
Aug 29, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/705326
Inventors:
Kenneth H. LaCount - Pulaski WI
Diane L. Stephan - Green Bay WI
Todd G. Welsch - Green Bay WI
Alan J. Pierquet - Green Bay WI
Alan P. Paal - Green Bay WI
Assignee:
Alwin Manufacturing Co. - Green Bay WI
International Classification:
A47K 1038
B26F 302
B65H 3504
US Classification:
2425642
Abstract:
A dispenser for dispensing a web from a roll of paper includes a housing and a cover connected thereto to provide access to the housing interior. The dispenser has mechanism for supporting a paper roll and a drive roller and tension roller operatively associated therewith which urges paper from the paper roll into contact with the drive roller for dispensing a length of paper from the paper roll. Actuator mechanism operates the drive roller and extends across substantially the entire housing at the bottom thereof. A roller frame assembly is mounted within the housing and carries the tension roller and a transfer roller. The transfer roller releasably holds the free end of a first paper roll while paper from the second roll is dispensed upon actuation of the actuator to rotate the drive roller. Because the paper from a second paper roll is positioned between the drive roller and the transfer roller, rotation of the transfer roller during rotation of the drive roller is prevented until the second paper roll is exhausted.
