During my clinical rotations I had the opportunity to be lead nurse on several occasions. This included organizing assignments and med passes while delegating appropriately to my fellow classmates, participation in morning report and reporting off to head nurse prior to leaving the floor. Also I had the chance to sit in on various interdisciplinary team meetings and weekly consensus meetings. Both of which helped me to gain better insight into the role of the LPN; ultimately providing a holistic approach in caring for my patients.
