Bragging Rights:
I barely survived my school days, and am amazed I left with any sort of qualifications, so I never quite made it to university, preferring to quit the education system a little earlier than most, and venture out into the wide world seeking trouble. I found it incredibly difficult to take orders from anyone, and never lasted long in any job that came my way. I ran a party business in Hong Kong, and realised then, that this was going to be the only way forward - never answering to anyone, and never passing the blame -. I came back to England in 1992, and met Michael at work. He was my boss, and promptly fired me (nothing new there) but the difference being that he then married me. 3 children later, I was diagnosed with Leukaemia. I never doubted I would get better, and thankfully I was right. That was 13 years ago as I write this, and not a day goes by that I don't realise how lucky I am. I want to fill my life with things I enjoy and so the cooking begins....Although cooking obviously comes with a price - a big ass and massive tum, so a mixture of a need to give back something to the medical world, and to shake that ass into touch, I am planning on running my 3rd marathon in 7 days. Plagued with injury, it will be a task, but I find it hard to accept defeat, so I struggle on. Wish me luck!!
