Bernice, a Warren native and graduate of Harding High School in 1958, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Latin and English in 1962 and in 1967 a Master of Science in Education from Westminster College with a major in psychology. She taught Latin and English and served as a guidance counselor in Howland Schools retiring in 1998 after 34 years. Active over the years in church, community, and cultural activities in Trumbull County, she enjoys music, theater, travel, cooking, literature, her pond, gardening, Trivial Pursuit, bridge, golf, and tennis, having previously served as the coach for the Howland High School Girls' Tennis Team. She began her career in real estate in 1994 becoming a member of the OAR President's Sales Club in 1997 and has achieved that status each year since then. Presently holding Certified Residential Specialist (CRS),Accredited Buyers Representation certification (ABR) and Graduate REALTORS' Institute (GRI) certifications, she has been a director of the Warren Area Board of REALTORS for numerous years serving as President in 2003 and on many Ohio Association of REALTORS state committees. She was recently awarded REALTOR of the Year for 2005 by her local association for her service, professionalism, participation in local, state, and national association business and her volunteer involvement in her community. She was awarded the Walter D. Graham Civic Award for 2006 for her volunteer activities within the community. She is a certified relocation specialist and a new construction specialist.
