Method And System For Optimizing Performance Of Consumer Appliances

View page
US Patent:
20010049846, Dec 13, 2001
Filed:
Jun 13, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/880669
Inventors:
Brian Guzzi - Cincinnati OH, US
Joseph Nurre - West Chester OH, US
James Stigall - Hebron KY, US
International Classification:
D06F033/00
US Classification:
008/158000, 068/012180, 068/01700R
Abstract:
A system and method for optimizing performance of a consumer appliance, including: a consumer appliance; a work piece identifier; a director in communication with the consumer appliance; a data store in communication with the director; an identification device in communication with the director; and an optimization module in communication with the director, having executable instructions for determining optimized operating conditions of the consumer appliance. One exemplary embodiment is a method of optimizing processing conditions based on environmental conditions. The method comprises the steps of providing a consumer appliance having one or more sensors in communication with a director and sensing one or more environmental conditions from the sensors. The sensors might then communicate the environmental conditions to the director and to an optimization module in communication with the director. Finally, the optimization module might be configured to optimize the processing conditions based on the environmental conditions.

Methods For Forming Composite Structures

View page
US Patent:
20130092312, Apr 18, 2013
Filed:
Oct 12, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/650426
Inventors:
Kellogg Company - Battle Creek MI, US
Brian Daniel Guzzi - West Chester OH, US
Assignee:
Kellogg Company - Battle Creek MI
International Classification:
B31B 3/00
B29C 70/00
B65B 7/28
US Classification:
156 69, 264299, 493162
Abstract:
A method for forming a composite structure may include positioning a composite sheet adjacent to a die opening. A portion of the composite sheet may be constrained between a first forming surface and a second forming surface. The first forming surface may be spaced a gap distance from the second forming surface. The gap distance may be substantially equal to or greater than the sheet thickness. The composite sheet may be urged through the die opening and along a third forming surface to form a composite bottom from the composite sheet.
