Systems And Methods To Provide Offers To Mobile Devices In Accordance With Proximity-Sensitivity Scores

View page
US Patent:
20110231233, Sep 22, 2011
Filed:
Mar 19, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/727333
Inventors:
Marianne Iannace - North Salem NY, US
Daniel Poswolsky - Plainview NY, US
Raffaella C. Stuart - Granite Springs NY, US
Andrea Gilman - Chappaqua NY, US
International Classification:
G06Q 30/00
G01C 21/00
G06Q 10/00
US Classification:
705 1413, 701300, 705 1425
Abstract:
According to some embodiments, a proximity-sensitivity score is determined for each of a plurality of merchants. The proximity-sensitivity scores may indicate, for example, a likelihood that potential offers from the merchants would be accepted by customers based on distances between customer locations and merchant locations. An indication of a customer's current location may be received, and a selection engine may automatically select for a customer, in substantially real time, at least one selected offer from a plurality of potential offers based at least in part on proximity-sensitivity scores and the customer's current location. Data associated with the selected offer may then be transmitted, via a wireless communication network, to a mobile device associated with the customer.

Systems And Methods To Provide Offers To Mobile Devices In Accordance With Proximity-Sensitivity Scores

View page
US Patent:
20190197563, Jun 27, 2019
Filed:
Mar 4, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/291192
Inventors:
- Purchase NY, US
Daniel Poswolsky - Plainview NY, US
Raffaella C. Stuart - Granite Springs NY, US
Andrea Gilman - Chappaqua NY, US
International Classification:
G06Q 30/02
H04L 29/08
Abstract:
A method for providing merchant offers to customer mobile devices. In some embodiments, an offer engine determines, on a periodic basis for each of a plurality of merchants, a proximity-sensitivity score that indicates a likelihood that potential offers from the merchants would be accepted by customers. The process includes the offer engine receiving, from a mobile device of a customer, an indication of a customer's current location, then receiving customer transaction data in substantially real time and adjusting the proximity-sensitivity scores of the merchants based on the customer transaction data. The offer engine then automatically selects at least two offers from a plurality of potential offers based on the adjusted proximity-sensitivity scores for the customer, and transmits, to the mobile device associated with the customer, data associated with the at least two selected offers for display on a display screen of the customer's mobile device.
