US Patent:
46905782, Sep 1, 1987
Filed:
Sep 8, 1986
Appl. No.:
6/904646
Inventors:
Eric J. Idec - Madison CT
Thomas F. Holloway - Southbury CT
Assignee:
Risdon Corporation - Naugatuck CT
International Classification:
A45D 4006
A45D 4000
US Classification:
401 78
Abstract:
The invention contemplates a cosmetic-container of the propel-repel variety wherein all parts are assembled and retained by interference-fit and wherein metal-to-plastic interfaces characterize essentially all siding engagements. The arrangement is such as to provide a luxury "feel" through controlled drag torque (resistance) to relative rotation of the parts. And provision is made to positively retain any retracted position of the pomade carrier, whatever the remaining useful extent of involved pomade.

View page
US Patent:
43231578, Apr 6, 1982
Filed:
Oct 17, 1980
Appl. No.:
6/197809
Inventors:
Eric J. Idec - Madison CT
Assignee:
Eyelet Specialty Co., Inc. - Wallingford CT
International Classification:
B65D 8572
US Classification:
206385
Abstract:
The invention contemplates a modified propel-repel cosmetic-container construction wherein bottom-filling of the container is made possible via filler-tube access ports in the base end of the container and in the pomade-support platform of the pomade-carrier. Carrier propulsion is via slot and internal-thread cams on the respective inner and outer rotatable tubular members of the container, and the arrangement is such that for the lowermost position of the carrier, the upper end of the carrier laps and, therefore, seals off the upper end of the cam slot.
