Filed:
Jun 14, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/172154
Inventors:
Gene I. Kofman - Parkland FL, US
Josh L. Fabel - Boca Raton FL, US
Warren M. Fabel - Boca Raton FL, US
Assignee:
Laser Substrates, Inc. - Boca Raton FL
International Classification:
G06F 3/12
G06K 15/00
US Classification:
358 115, 358 114
Abstract:
A system and method for printing in a secure environment is disclosed. The method on a computer system includes receiving print stream data by a first module, wherein the first module includes a first set of permissions that are not compatible with permissions of an output destination driver. Then, the first module sends the print stream data to a second module, wherein the second module includes a second set of permissions that are compatible with the permissions of the output destination driver. Subsequently, the second module modifies the print stream data to conform to a template. Lastly, the second module sends the print stream data to the output destination via the output destination driver.

Data Capture During Print Process

View page
US Patent:
7379203, May 27, 2008
Filed:
Oct 15, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/272161
Inventors:
Gene I. Kofman - Parkland FL, US
Josh L. Fabel - Boca Raton FL, US
Warren M. Fabel - Boca Raton FL, US
Assignee:
Laser Substrates, Inc. - Boca Raton FL
International Classification:
G06F 15/00
B41B 1/00
US Classification:
358 118, 358 113, 358 115
Abstract:
A system, method and computer readable medium for capturing data during a print process. In an embodiment of the present invention, the method on a computer system includes observing a print command issued by an application. Next, a spool file in a condensed format, such as Extended Metafile Format (EMF), is written to a disk in response to the print command. This spool file read, and subsequently an output file is generated based on information in the spool file. The output file is written in EMF format if the output file contains image information. If the output file does not contain image information, the output file is written in text format. Then, the output file is modified to conform to a template. Lastly, the output file that was modified is sent to an output destination, such as a printer.

US Classification:
358 118, 358 113, 358 115
Abstract:
A system, method and computer readable medium for capturing check data during a print process is disclosed. The method on a computer system includes observing a print command issued by an application to send check information to a printer. Lastly, the output file that was modified is sent to an output destination, such as a file storage space, a bank or a printer.

Font Pitch Adjustment During Print Process

View page
US Patent:
7936476, May 3, 2011
Filed:
Mar 19, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/392240
Inventors:
Gene I. Kofman - Parkland FL, US
Josh L. Fabel - Boca Raton FL, US
Warren M. Fabel - Boca Raton FL, US
Assignee:
Laser Substrates, Inc. - Boca Raton FL
International Classification:
G06K 15/02
US Classification:
358 118, 358 111, 358 18, 358 115, 345467, 382138, 382174
Abstract:
A system, method and computer readable medium for adjusting font pitch during a print process is disclosed. The method on a computer system includes observing a print command issued by an application. The method further includes generating an output file in response to the print command and modifying the output file to conform to a template. The method further includes determining the type of each character in the output file and adjusting the font pitch of characters in the output file based on their type. The method further includes sending the output file to an output destination. In one alternative, the method includes determining whether each character in the output file is at least one of a numerical character and an alphabetic character and 1) adjusting the font pitch of numerical characters to be fixed font pitch, and 2) adjusting the font pitch of alphabetic characters to be variable font pitch.

Management System For A Conversational System

View page
US Patent:
7962578, Jun 14, 2011
Filed:
May 21, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/124531
Inventors:
Michael G. Makar - Boca Raton FL, US
Joseph M. Mosley - Naples FL, US
Tracy A. Tindall - Boca Raton FL, US
Gene I. Kofman - Parkland FL, US
Assignee:
The Delfin Project, Inc. - Boca Raton FL
International Classification:
G06F 15/16
US Classification:
709219, 709223, 704 9
Abstract:
The present invention is uniquely designed to interact with web retailer's customers with real agent reaction times as they give astute answers directly concerning web retailer's products and goals. The entire process is manageable through a third-party website which includes scripting, settings and other parameters selected by the web retailer. An artificial intelligence engine uses the combination of Bayesian probability keyword selection, natural language parsing and regular expression processing. The technology updates its response database with every client interaction-learning always takes place as it simulates a live agent, in real time. Every client interaction is recorded and analyzed, and as a result of the analysis the changes in the answer database are made.
