John A. Kowalonek - Clinton MA, US
Nathan Aaron Johnson - Worcester MA, US
Assignee:
Sorriso Technologies, Inc. - Acton MA
International Classification:
G06F 3/048
US Classification:
715769, 715210, 715700, 709219, 709201
Abstract:
A system obtains a file associated with at least one interaction that satisfies a requirement of the application. The file (containing at least one instruction) is associated with a graphical user interface allowing a user to define at least one interaction, as a use case. The system transmits at least a portion of the file to a processor for processing of the portion of the file. The processor is selected based on at least one instruction. The system transmits a result of the processing to an engine in communication with the processor. The system transmits the result from the engine to a view renderer for execution of at least one instruction (that is contained in the file associated with at least one interaction that satisfies the requirement of the application). The system receives a response at the view renderer, and transmits the response from the view renderer to the engine.

Simd System And Method

View page
US Patent:
20020052868, May 2, 2002
Filed:
Oct 4, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/971203
Inventors:
Sanjeev Mohindra - Andover MA, US
John Kowalonek - Westborough MA, US
Michael Kleeman - Sudbury MA, US
Georges Melhem - Salem NH, US
International Classification:
G06F007/00
US Classification:
707/001000
Abstract:
Methods and systems to interface a SIMD array to a host computer operating system using one or more context sensitive filter controllers. The filter controllers or drivers can intercept I/O requests from the host operating system and redirect the requests to the SIMD array. By using the filter controllers, the SIMD array can be viewed by the host operating system as a file, database engine, and/or other storage device including a hard drive. Based on the request from the host, including the data content, document type, document content, and document or data format associated with the request, the filter controllers can provide a set of instructions to process the request using the SIMD array, while exploiting the parallel processing power of the SIMD array.

The telephone system also includes a computer system and a telephone coupled to the telephone network line, and the telephone is taken off-hook to enter a voice command. A transmitter communicates the voice command from the telephone to the computer system without the telephone seizing the external phone line. A computer interface unit is connected to the computer system to receive the voice transmitted from the telephone and to transmit voice signals transmitted by the computer system to the telephone. A phone interface unit is connected between the telephone and telephone network line, and the phone interface unit is selectable between a first mode and a second mode. The phone interface unit connects the telephone to the telephone network line if it is in the first mode, and isolates the telephone from the telephone network line if it is in the second mode. If an external phone call is detected from the external phone line, the phone interface unit can be selected to be in the first mode if the external call is present.
