Abstract:
A new and improved method and apparatus for removing waste cooking oil is herein disclosed. A method for removing waste cooking oil from an associated cooking oil reservoir includes providing a pumping mechanism, wherein the pumping mechanism has tubing operatively connected to the pumping mechanism and a suction apparatus operatively connected to the tubing, providing a waste oil storage unit, turning on a pump, inserting the suction apparatus into the associated reservoir, the suction apparatus being located remotely from the waste oil storage unit, and depressing a trigger to activate the suction apparatus to remove the waste cooking oil from the associated reservoir.

Fresh Cooking Oil Automated Dispensing Rack

View page
US Patent:
8474662, Jul 2, 2013
Filed:
Feb 1, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/697502
Inventors:
John W. Palazzo - Barberton OH, US
Giovanni Brienza - Fairlawn OH, US
Assignee:
Frontline International, Inc. - Cuyahoga Falls OH
International Classification:
B67D 7/06
A47F 1/04
US Classification:
222180, 211 592, 222 23
Abstract:
An architecture is presented that dispenses fresh cooking oil. The dispensing device comprises a rack and a vacuum chamber that secures containers of cooking oil in an inverted position. The vacuum chamber allows the cooking oil to drain out of the container and ensures that all oil is completely drained from the container. A metal cap assembly is secured to an opening of the container, allowing the container to be inverted on the rack. The metal cap assembly comprises a vent hole and a metal tube connected to the vent hole that draws air into the inverted container to prevent vacuum levels from building up in the container. A hose transfers cooking oil from the container to the vacuum chamber. And, an exit hose connects to a pumping station and transfers cooking oil from the vacuum chamber to the pumping station and ultimately to a fryer.
