Skills:
Coordinate all operational functions of construction projects with responsibility for ensuring timely completion in accordance with client specifications, budgets and timeframes. Maintain highest levels of employee safety and construction compliance, in accordance with OSHA guidelines, and local, state and federal building regulations/codes. Handle multiple, simultaneous project issues, including work scheduling for up to 80 employees, contractor hiring and coordination, material purchasing, contract negotiation, construction site supervision and inspection, quality assurance, and cost analysis. Provide hands-on direction in production, interpretation and modification of blueprints, layout work, equipment utilization and construction plans. Perform field surveying for projects, create field and construction drawings using AutoCAD and Auto Desk, and report progress directly to site superintendent Create daily reports regarding project status, material management and construction equipment, with additional responsibility for budget formulation and control issues. Maintain strong working relationships with clients, staff, and contractors at all levels; and provide clients with construction options. Deliver comprehensive training in construction operations and safety.KEY PROJECTS / ACHIEVEMENTS Worked on start-up of four separate ethanol construction sites; gained extensive expertise in ethanol industry equipment and construction techniques. Assisted in saving $5 million on project calculated to expect zero profit by minimizing schedule gaps, tracking rental use, generating new methods of tracking shipments and storing materials, optimizing site layout, organizing multiple contractors, and creating unique solutions.
