Profile information may be received in a section of a user's profile, such as an areas of interest section. The profile information is used to determine content that might be of interest to the user. For example, content that is tagged with similar tags to the areas of interest is determined. A recommendation is generated for the user based on the determined content. The recommendation may be determined automatically based on the profile information without a query from the user. Recommendations may then be displayed for a user. For example, the recommendations may be displayed on a profile page in which the user has input the profile information.
