Mar 13, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/997288
Inventors:
Malini K. Bhandaru - Sudbury MA, US
Eric J. Dehaemer - Shrewsbury MA, US
International Classification:
G06F 1/32
US Classification:
713320
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a multicore processor includes cores that can independently execute instructions, each at an independent voltage and frequency. The processor may include a power controller having logic to prevent a first core from execution at a requested turbo mode frequency if the first core has a stall rate greater than a first stall threshold, and concurrently allow a second core to execute at a requested turbo mode frequency if the second core has a stall rate less than a second stall threshold. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Vivek Garg - Folsom CA, US
International Classification:
G06F 1/26
US Classification:
713300
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a multicore processor includes cores that can independently execute instructions, each at an independent voltage and frequency. The processor may include a power controller having logic to provide for configurability of power management features of the processor. One such feature enables at least one core to operate at an independent performance state based on a state of a single power domain indicator present in a control register. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Method For Coordinating Schema And Data Access Objects

View page
US Patent:
20060218174, Sep 28, 2006
Filed:
Mar 23, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/087875
Inventors:
John Cook - Southborough MA, US
Louis Colon - Bolton MA, US
Malini Bhandaru - Sudbury MA, US
Kathy Kaminski - Marlborough MA, US
International Classification:
G06F 7/00
US Classification:
707102000
Abstract:
Two techniques are commonly used when developing database applications. First, script files containing batched database commands are frequently used to establish the schema of database tables. Second, the software design pattern “Data Access Objects” are sometimes used to contain programmatic database requests while providing an application programmer a more abstract, easier to use interface to the database. Both of these techniques require essentially the same information: an understanding of the organization of particular database tables. The present invention reduces the labor associated with maintaining synchronicity between these two components by a method that allows both the schema and the format of the Data Access Object to be determined by evaluating the properties of an object to be stored in the database.

Sharing Container Data Inside A Tenant's Pod Under Different Trusted Execution Environments (Tees)

View page
US Patent:
20220391494, Dec 8, 2022
Filed:
Aug 17, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/889989
Inventors:
- Santa Clara CA, US
Malini K. BHANDARU - San Jose CA, US
Ned SMITH - Beaverton OR, US
International Classification:
G06F 21/53
Abstract:
In a multitenant environment, confidential containers for the tenant having a trusted execution environment (TEE) which have security attested, can share data within the pod or between pods. The ability to share data for confidential containers of the same tenant eliminates the need to have multiple copies for different confidential containers. Thus, a storage device can store shared data specific to a tenant of the multitenant environment, and a caching service backed by protected hardware can manage access to the shared data. Management of the shared data can include attesting a key for a confidential container to verify that the confidential container is part of the TEE for a pod for the tenant, and access the shared data from the storage device for the confidential container based on the attested key.

Method And Apparatus For Improved Container Image Deployment

US Patent:
20220335139, Oct 20, 2022
Filed:
Jun 29, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/853800
Inventors:
- Santa Clara CA, US
Malini K. BHANDARU - San Jose CA, US
Jiangyun ZHU - Shanghai, CN
Yu WANG - Shanghai, CN
International Classification:
G06F 21/60
G06F 21/57
G06F 21/78
G06F 9/455
Abstract:
A method is described. The method includes sending a first request for portions of the container image. The method includes sending a second request for respective security keys for the portions of the container image. The method includes receiving the portions of the container image in encrypted form. The method includes receiving the respective security keys encrypted with a public key of an enclave of a trusted execution environment. The method includes decrypting the respective security keys with a private key of the enclave of the trusted execution environment. The method includes decrypting the encrypted portions of the container image with the decrypted respective keys.
