Real-Time High-Speed Three Dimensional Modeling System

View page
US Patent:
8264486, Sep 11, 2012
Filed:
Jul 24, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/509428
Inventors:
Christopher Allen Brown - Bloomington IN, US
Matthew Juhl - Springville IN, US
Assignee:
The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Navy - Washington DC
International Classification:
G06T 17/00
G06T 11/20
US Classification:
345420, 345442, 345443
Abstract:
A high-speed modeling system and a method of constructing a model are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the system comprises first and second cameras, a control portion to synchronize the first and second cameras, and a projector of electromagnetic patterns. The first and second cameras are synchronized by the control portion to generate second frames a time interval after first frames are generated to thereby obtain a high frame-rate which is higher than the frame-rate of the first camera. Multiple imaging stations comprising first and second cameras may be directed to the path traveled by a mass at a high speed, in a prescribed arrangement, to model the mass with the high frame-rate system.

Turret Seat

US Patent:
20110018319, Jan 27, 2011
Filed:
Jul 27, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/510221
Inventors:
Christopher Allen Brown - Bloomington IN, US
Matthew Juhl - Springville IN, US
International Classification:
B60N 2/427
B60N 2/42
US Classification:
29721617
Abstract:
An operator support assembly supported for rotation. The operator support assembly includes a seat bottom suspended below a rotatable member and a support coupling the seat bottom to the rotatable member. The support illustratively includes a shock absorbing device to dampen shock impulse between the rotatable member and the seat bottom. A quick release mechanism may be provided to cause the seat bottom to pivot downwardly about a pivot coupler.

US Patent:
20160379414, Dec 29, 2016
Filed:
May 11, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/152533
Inventors:
- Crane IN, US
Matthew Juhl - Springville IN, US
International Classification:
G06T 19/00
G01S 19/53
G01S 19/47
G06F 3/0484
G02B 27/01
Abstract:
An augmented reality (AR) system comprising a head mounted display (HMD) configured to display one or more AR visualizations within an operator's field of view (FOV), a control system including a processor and a storage system configured to store machine readable instructions, sensors configured to determine at least location and/or orientation of said sensors including a head mounted and device mounted sensor, and a communication system configured to communicate data between elements of the AR system. The software including various subroutines or machine readable instructions including an orientation/location instructions for determining orientation and/or position of the sensors, a visualizations generation instructions section configured to generate a visualization showing an aim point of a device coupled to said device mounted sensor, a path of travel of a projectile launched from said device, or an impact point of said projectile. Embodiments can include one or more photogrammetry processing sections.
