Flammable Vapor Control System For Devices With Standing Pilot Flame

View page
US Patent:
20010042564, Nov 22, 2001
Filed:
Apr 4, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/826746
Inventors:
Anthony Abraham - Laguna Nigel CA, US
Raymond Joubran - Pasadena CA, US
Kenneth Minkler - Downey CA, US
Assignee:
INVENSYS ROBERTSHAW CONTROLS COMPANY
International Classification:
F23D005/16
US Classification:
137/065000
Abstract:
A safety device for shutting off the flow of gas to a gas-fired appliance in the presence of flammable vapors. A flammable vapor sensor is inserted in the circuit supplying a solenoid actuated valve with power from a thermocouple. The sensor responds to the presence of a flammable vapor with an increase in resistance. When a critical concentration of flammable vapors is achieved, the voltage drop across the sensor causes the solenoid actuated valve to close.

An unregulated gas valve for a water heater that includes an inlet configured to receive a gas flow into the gas valve, an outlet configured to direct a portion of the gas flow to a combustion chamber, a pilot line configured to direct a portion of the gas flow to a pilot flame, and a dial configured to regulate the flow of gas into the gas valve, and further configured to select a water temperature setting.

Multifunction Showerhead Assembly

View page
US Patent:
53988728, Mar 21, 1995
Filed:
Aug 3, 1993
Appl. No.:
8/101195
Inventors:
Raymond Joubran - Alhambra CA
Assignee:
Interbath, Inc. - Industry CA
International Classification:
B05B 314
US Classification:
239 99
Abstract:
A multifunction showerhead or hand held showerhead assembly, capable of providing a series of water spray effects. The primary components of the showerhead assembly are a fluid directing valve assembly which includes a pair of generally cup shaped members co-axially mounted with opposing end faces proximate to one another. One of the generally cup shaped members has a bottom surface defining a plurality of fluid flow passageways. When the second member is rotated in opposing relationship to the base of the first member, the fluid flow passageways direct the fluid flow from an orifice in the first member to a pair of outlet passages, or alternatively to a sealed chamber.

Slide Bar Assembly

View page
US Patent:
57916152, Aug 11, 1998
Filed:
Oct 26, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/548701
