Abstract:
A covering for protecting an item that is placed within the covering is provided. The covering includes a substantially continuous tubing having an inner surface , an outer surface , and a first opening providing access to a cavity of the continuous tubing . The continuous tubing is adapted to have items to be protected inserted into cavity of the tubing through the first opening . A method for creating the protective covering is also provided. In one preferred embodiment of the invention the method includes sealing an automobile bumper in the tubing for protection of the bumper during material handling thereof.

A temporary floor covering that allows air and moisture to pass through the covering is disclosed. The floor covering has a first layer a second layer connected to the first layer and a plurality of perforations in the covering The first layer is typically made of a low-density polyethylene foam, and the second layer is typically made of a polyethylene film. The perforations extend through the first and second layers to allow air and moisture to pass through both the first layer and the second layer Additionally, an outer surface of one of the first layer or the second layer may have an increased coefficient of friction.
