Abstract:
A trash can with a twist-lock lid. The trash can includes a generally cylindrical container having a bottom, an upper rim, and a sidewall between the bottom and the upper rim. The trash can also has a lid with a skirt that fits over the top of the sidewall. The container defines at least one locking protrusion proximate the rim, the locking protrusion having an elongated portion along a part of the rim, a stop portion extending downwardly from one end of the elongated portion toward the container bottom a first distance, and a retention portion extending downwardly from the other end of the elongated portion a second distance that is substantially less than the first distance, the elongated portion having a length between the stop portion and the retention portion. The lid defines an elongated, inwardly-facing projection having a length no greater than the length of the elongated portion of the container locking protrusion, the projection adapted to sit under and adjacent to the elongated portion of the container locking protrusion when the lid is placed over the container rim and engaged with the container's locking protrusion.

A wheeled laundry basket with an integral generally rectangular basket member with two longer sides and two shorter ends, and defining an upper rim that has its lowermost portion around the center of the sides, and highest portions at the ends, so that the rim at the ends is capable of being gripped at a point higher than the lowest point of the sides. The basket member defines at least one indentation at the intersection of at least one end and the bottom. There is an axle coupled to the basket member and carrying at least two wheels that are each located at least in part within an indentation and that are either flush with the bottom of the basket member or extend partially below the bottom surface of the basket member.

A paint bucket with an integral brush holder for holding a paint brush with a handle of the type that has a narrowed portion between the bristles and the tip of the handle. The paint bucket includes a bottom, at least one side wall ending in an upper lip, and at least one slot defined by spaced slot side walls provided through at least a portion of the width of the lip and communicating with the interior of the bucket and extending downward along a portion of the side wall. A brush can be held in the slot with the narrowed portion of the handle located between the slot walls and the brush bristles hanging into the bucket.
